Taliah Jackson, Overnight Postpartum Doula
Hi, I’m Taliah!
As a trained birth and postpartum doula, I believe the early days of parenthood deserve just as much care and attention as the birth itself. My approach is warm, encouraging, holistic and grounding. The postpartum period is beautiful, messy, emotional, and full of surprises, and no one should have to navigate it alone. Whether you need an extra set of hands, a listening ear, reassurance that you're doing an amazing job (because you are!), or someone to remind you to eat and drink enough water, I'm here for you! I'll answer your questions, celebrate your wins — big and small, hold space for the hard days (and nights), and offer guidance whenever you need it. My hope is that by the end of our time together, you’ll feel a little more rested, a little more confident and a lot more sure of yourself when it comes to navigating life with your new little one.
Growing up as one of seven children taught me to calmly navigate the beautiful chaos that comes with a full house. While my love for children has always been part of who I am, my passion for birth work began at 11 years old when I attended the birth of my youngest brother. Without even knowing it, I became my mom's first birth doula. That experience sparked a lifelong love for supporting growing families. As I grew older, I learned more about the realities of maternal healthcare in our country—including the disparities that continue to impact so many BIPOC birthing people. The desire to make a meaningful difference through advocacy, education and support, inspired me to become a doula.
Over the past 13 years, I've had the privilege of serving children and families as a camp counselor, infant teacher, nanny, birth doula, and postpartum doula. The birth of my daughter 2.5 years ago, only deepened my love for this work and strengthened my belief that every family deserves compassionate, customized support. I especially enjoy supporting first-time parents, families with multiples, and I love helping families create routines that work for their lives. I also am bilingual and can provide support in Spanish. I can't wait to support you and your growing family!
When I'm not supporting families and snuggling babies, you'll find me making new memories with family and friends, chasing my sweet daughter around, reading a great book, planning my next travel destination, or trying a new vegan recipe.
